INTRIGUING AND EVER-EVOLVING GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Stefan Sagmeister is a world famous graphic designer. He has been specially renowned for album covers and posters, having created eye-catching graphics for clients including the Rolling Stones and Lou Reed. Stunning visuals and a fascinating narrative are his thing. He also stands out for his distinct sense of humor, his voracious curiosity and his unique perspective on art, design, type, and illustration.

As his project on happiness demonstrates, Stefan pours his heart and soul into every piece of work he dedicates himself to and invariably has a slightly different way of looking at things. One of his latest works addresses the concept of beauty and why people feel attracted to it. It explores how we deal with beauty in our daily lives and how it can affect our overall wellbeing and behavior.

Stefan has this remarkable talent: everything he does is always at once timeless and of the moment. His dedication to the smallest details creates work that offers something new every time you look at it. His intimate approach and sincere thoughtfulness elevate his creativity and his work, taking the spectator experience to always new levels.

Alan Iny has the pleasure of spending his entire working life on creativity in business. With Boston Consulting Group since 2003, he has trained thousands of people on how to think creatively, and he works with a wide range of clients across industries worldwide. He also has a deep focus on uncertainty, using scenarios to help clients think more expansively about the future.

Alan is a member of the firm’s Strategy practice leadership team and has expertise in innovation, transformation, and organization design. With BCG's Luc de Brabandere, he coauthored Thinking in New Boxes: A New Paradigm for Business Creativity in 2013. The book is available in 11 languages, and Publishers Weekly called it a must-read for anyone in a leadership position who dares to look at the world in new ways.

JULIA ZHOU

TECH ENTREPRENEUR, PASSIONATE COMMUNITY BUILDER AND AWARDED MUSICIAN

Julia is a tech entrepreneur, passionate community builder, and musician. With her company Vyou, she helps to match people to the right work, teams, and environment by measuring behaviour and energy. For the last two years, she has been managing the Kairos Europe Summit, an annual tech conference of the Kairos Society, where 250 of the best entrepreneurs and global leaders unite to focus on solving the world’s most pressing problems. Julia is also part of Voyagers, lead by David Rowan, where meaningful community is created by bringing together unusually interesting individuals from diverse backgrounds for curated activities in magical places.

Music has played a big part in her life- ever since she is four years old, she has been playing the piano and composing music. In the past, she has won prizes in multiple regional and national piano competitions. Julia believes that music is a language that everybody can understand and one that brings people together in a way that words cannot describe.

Our goal is to create an ecosystem of knowledge and networking that collects, organizes and shares the most recent trends and themes about happiness, well being and growth. Our aim is to energize people and teams as well as their levels of commitment, motivation, creativity and resilience. The Happy Corporations Society is based on a series of public and private original content and initiatives meant to strengthen knowledge and practices as to better help the objectives of each company. The Happy Corporations Society is proud to present its corporate workshops: Happy Workplace, Happy & Healthy e Happy & Confident.

HAPPY WORKSHOPS

HAPPY WALK

Our Happy Walk is a part of our corporate pack and can be undertaken before or after the Happy Conference, as soon as the company confirms presence.

 

This is an inclusive workout, done in collaboration with other professional partners, where organisations can choose in between 15 treks around LIsbon (Sintra, Ericeira,Arrabida, ...). The walks are all of moderate difficulty levels, and happen in areas of outstanding natural beauty. The treks take between 3-5 hours depending on the chosen route.

 

These walks work extremely well by themselves, with people greatly enjoying themselves in this relaxing and inclusive activity. However, group dynamics, conversation starters and themes may be agreed on beforehand to better facilitate communication within teams.

HAPPY WORKPLACE

A beautiful, organised and harmonious workplace evergizes staff and increases their capacity of concentration and execution. In just 24 hours and with a modest budget, Happy Workplace will transform spaces and lives at work.

 

Happy Workplace believes that successful organisations need spaces of harmony and well-being that motivate employees. We invite our partners to be protagonists of a positive makeover of their workspaces, one geared towards team spirit, creativity and individual and collective satisfaction. With the help of a Happy Workplace expert and his or her knowledge on spaces and ergonomics, each team will reflect on and identify changes to their workplace, develop an action plan and put it in practice. All of this with a modest budget and in just 24 hours.

 

Be it by making our spaces greener with plants, adding a new coffee machine, more comfortable chairs or rearranging desjs - small changes can be enough to multiply a business’ results and general well-being.

Team members who are in tune with their physical, mental and social selves, are likelier to be happier and healthier, both within the office and outside of it. Happy & Healthy is a commitment to life.

With the help of a Happy & Healthy expert from the area of medicine, nutrition and neuroscience, this workshop explores the physical, mental and social dimensions of the self.
